the founder
Born and raised in Poland, during the times my mother was either working long hours or had to leave the country in order to provide for the household, I lived with my grandparents. Throughout those years, it was a learning experience having two elderly at home who, though were taking care of me and my brother, also needed much help with personal care and assistance. Therefore, my caregiving experience began with those who were the closest to me.
Life in America has changed my aspirations of who I wanted to become as a young adult. My ultimate goal was to become a nurse and work in a hospital setting. As I began following this dream, early on I started taking nursing internships and completing sports medicine classes. I attended college and my first experience was private in-home care for disabled while simultaneously working for an upscale assisted living facility in memory care unit with Dementia and Alzheimer’s residents. As I continued my education, I then worked for a national franchise home care company.
I decided to complete medical assisting course from which I graduated with honors and valedictorian award in addition to becoming Clinically Certified in Medical Assisting. I completed an internship at an ENT office after which I began working for an urgent care owned by a major hospital.
Though I love the medical and clinical aspects of care for patients, my passion resonated with those who needed the physical, mental and emotional help once they returned home from their medical appointments. That is when I knew my heart belonged in caregiving.
I am currently a member of American Caregiver Association and have completed National Caregiver Certification, Advanced National Caregiver Certification, and National Assisted Living Manager Certification.
WellReside Living is a means by which I can share my passion for improving lives of elderly and disabled as well as their families. Being able to provide high quality and excellence when taking care of families in their residence gives me great satisfaction.
Whenever I am away from improving caregiving methods, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking traditional Polish dishes with my mom, visiting antique shops and writing letters and postcards to my teachers from Poland and friends who inspire me in day to day life.
